SUNDAY SCHOOL IN ACTION
Each year the children of our church make a special effort at Halloween time to collect for the UNICEF Campaign. The following was recently received from Clay Aiken, UNICEF Ambassador:

Thank you for participating in the 2005 Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign. Your gift of $297.75 to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF was received and will help support vital relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Katrina and millions of children around the world.

GIRL SCOUT SUNDAY
Girl Scout Sunday is March 12^th. Any registered Girl Scout interested in participating by ushering, greeting or helping with fellowship time please call Karen Joncas at 638-2907.

On January 15^th we had a great time getting to know one another and brainstorming some good ideas to put into place for the upcoming months. Our youth are ready and willing to lead in planning mission, evangelistic and fun events, while being in fellowship and worship together. UMYF will continue to have a meeting Sunday’s at 6:00 p.m. in the Jr. High Youth Room. all youth grades 7-12 are invited! For information contact Marsha Plucinik at 303-4634 or mplucinik@yahoo.com.

I’d like to send a big thank you to all who made the Sunday School Christmas play a success, especially with only one full rehearsal! Special thanks to . . .

- Lisa Phelps who did a wonderful job directing and orchestrating the entrances and exits.
- Cheryl Metrick who did a great job costuming, with innovations!
- Lisa Kane for keeping track of all the details and putting the final touches on the bulletin
- Sunday School teachers who helped their children get ready with their costumes, practiced songs and lines with them, and kept everything moving smoothly.
Parents who worked with dialogue at home – there were a lot of lines to learn, especially for the little ones.

And, thanks to all who attended the 10:30 service on December 18^th. Having so many people supporting the efforts of the children makes them realize they are in a special church community.
