Chairs Needed by July 27th
We are going to start hosting some Garden Club Meetings up on the deck above our store at Sollecito Landscaping Nursery.
So here is the deal: We are looking for metal chairs, wooden chairs, folding chairs (in good condition) and stacking chairs. We want to recycle chairs, so old ones are better than new ones.
For every chair you bring in and put up on the deck, you get $5. I bet your family might have some in the shed, or downstairs. OK, if you are looking for some fast gas money, start bringing in the seats!

Join Dave Greer, Lon Kouterick & Pastor Rhonda on July 31st for a day long mission.
We’ll travel to a United Methodist Church near Owego, NY. The flood cleanup is done, now the basement ceiling needs to be insulated along with some other small projects. We’ll work for the day, celebrate the progress at dinner time, and return home.
Interested? Able to lend a hand? Call Dave Greer at 635-6629 |

Summer Worship Opportunities!
Actors, Singers, Instrumentalists!
Actors wanted: Okay, folks. You've seen others in our church family bring scripture to life through drama – now it’s your turn! Seriously, if the dramas, readings and monologues we’ve offered have enhanced your worship experience, and you’d like to try it yourself, summer is the perfect time. We plan to enliven our summer worship with a series of short (5 minute), dramatic (and/or humorous) sketches involving 2 or 3 actors each. If you’ve never acted a role but always wanted to give it a try, this is a great way to do so!
For more information, call me at 635-7312.
Instrumentalists: Summer is also a great time for music students to get performing experience. The services are more relaxed and the church family is supportive and welcoming. All that’s required is that you love music, have a suitable piece and have it prepared. You may have something in your repertoire already that would only take a little time to polish back up. It only needs to be 2-4 minutes long. Talk to your teacher and then call me!
Singers: We generally recruit singers from the choir, for obvious reasons. However, if you sing Christian music in non-choral styles (pop, country, etc), and would like to share your talent with your church family this summer, talk to me! Also, budding soloists in elementary and middle school, and senior high students who have sung solos in school programs, talk to me!
Thank you, Rebecca Jensen 635-7312 |

How To Make 2008 Your Best Year Ever! |
|
With all the turmoil in the world today and all the rhetoric of an election year, wouldn’t it be wonderful if YOU could do something to make a difference? Individually we can’t seem to change what happens in the world. But GOD gives us a way to make a difference; in our church, our community, our state, our nation and … in the world. And most of us can do it. It is called “sharing our blessings.” Talk with a member of the Planned Giving Committee or Pastor Rhonda to learn how some of your blessings can become a legacy that lives on and on with the First United Methodist Church of Baldwinsville. |
